THE HERB BOX OLD TOWN | 2,800 SF

Strolling through the doors, images of garden vegetables, fresh with roots dusted in soil come to mind.  The eatery, promises bright and vivid flavors, focusing on locally-sourced ingredients and seasonal menus. The eye is immediately directed to vibrant, navy blues — overhead, there’s a procession of oversized chandeliers, bridged by exposed ductwork. Substantial mouldings display an eclectic gallery of art and imagery. Rustic woods raw metals, and copper-toned concrete usher in a humble, ‘stay a while’ sensibility. Swinging farm animals, and the owner’s fondness for found objects, serve up wit and whimsy. A plush, ‘tucked away’ banquette, crowned with black and white craftsman tile, becomes the coziest spot to get lost in banter and people watching. The Herb Box Marketplace, sits alongside the eatery, and stays within its roots by providing ready-made seasonal products, artisanal snacks and coffees in an easy, grab n’ go setting. Presented in an airy, open space, its craftsman and glossy white tilework, milky cabinetry, and traditional marble are bathed in light —proving the sunniest of dispositions.

THE HERB BOX SHEA | 2,800 SF

Expansive open ceilings with contrasting truss-work bring a dramatic backdrop to towering charcoal walls. The walls, graced with statuesque mouldings, and glimmering art deco lighting, flaunt expressive, figurative art in bold splashes of color. Underneath, an extended citrus banquette commands vibrant attention. There’s a tangible freshness reminiscent of sunshine in the garden, doors open wide, and the smell of citrus blossoms in the air. Rows of garage-style doors extend to an open-air patio dappled with tangerine umbrellas. Woven bistro seating, bask in the Arizona sunshine. The brand’s familiar black, white and citrus colorways seemingly dance through the space like nectar, unfolding in unique displays of tile, playful wall-coverings and fabrics. The Marketplace, marries the mood with its custom blue millwork, built-in coffee bar, dotted with café seating and the glow of its warm herringbone brick.
